Top Fire Safety Tips for A Worry-Free Vacation

By admin, September 5, 2010 6:35 am

For your summer vacation, you and your family are probably thinking of packing your bags, checking into a hotel, and soaking in the sights and sounds of your chosen travel destination. Indeed, choosing the right hotel could make your vacation infinitely more memorable. Nevertheless, when it comes to fire safety, you should also be alert at all times—whether you are at home or travelling. Thus, when choosing a hotel, it is also important to ensure that the hotel is in compliance with existing fire safety regulations. In this light, what are the other things you should be checking out upon your arrival? We have compiled some fire safety tips to make your vacation not just memorable but also a safe one.

The size and type of the hotel

For instance, smaller hotels or motels, bed-and breakfast places, and the like employ fewer people, have fewer rooms, and smaller buildings. On the other hand, high-rise hotels may employ hundreds of employees, have over 100 guest rooms and have the same number of visitors at any given time. Just as you would like to feel safe at home or at work, you should also be safe in a public building, such as a hotel. In addition, if you are staying in a relatively new hotel, it could be using high-quality fire protection (i.e., the use of fire sprinklers in every room and sophisticated detection and alarm systems installed throughout the building). On the other hand, smaller hotels may not. Regardless of the number of employees or size, however, check to see if the hotel employees have been given appropriate fire brigade training by the concerned authorities.

Fire safety equipment

Essentially, the type of fire safety equipment and the amount of such equipment in the hotel should depend on the size of the hotel itself. According to existing fire safety regulations in the UK, a specific number of fire extinguishers should be installed at each floor of the hotel, depending on its size. Upon your arrival, also check out if fire safety equipment are available, including sprinklers, smoke and fire detectors and alarms, automatic and manual fire alarms, standpipes in the stair landings, emergency lights, portable fire extinguishers, and the like. These should all be visible to guests, employees, and fire rescuers (in cases of emergencies).

Fire escape plan

Another tip to ensure fire safety while staying in a hotel is to check whether or not fire escape routes are easily seen in hallways and other locations mandated by current fire safety regulations. In cases of emergencies, guests must be able to locate the fire escape route and the fire exits even amidst smoke and darkness. In addition, standard fire safety signs complying with current fire safety regulations should also be visible in every location in the hotel. You will never know when you will need to use these signs so why not familiarize yourself with these? Finally, you should also make an effort to familiarize yourself and your family members about the fire escape route and location of fire exits so that you and your family will be ready at any time.

Tips For the Best Beach Vacations

By admin, September 3, 2010 6:38 am

With summer just around the corner, one can not help but day dream of the many summer destinations that are available. It seemed like most prepare for this favorite vacation time. Since summer is associated with water, cloudless skies and sun-filled days, the beach is the perfect place to enjoy these things. Basking under the sun, swimming in the clear blue waters and basically, having a good time on the cool white sands are just some of the greatest attractions for a beach holiday.

Beach vacations can be fun and adventure-filled. The key is choosing the right destination and the right beach vacation package for your whole family. There are many travel agents that offer great beach vacations packages. These packages come with hotel accommodation, breakfast and even guided tours. Beach vacations can be more exciting if you choose packages that offer free additional recreational activities such as scuba diving or snorkeling. Instead of these activities, you can also choose beach vacations packages that include services like free massages on the beachfront and free use of bicycles or motor bikes. This way, your days will be filled with new experiences at no cost at all.

If you do not have any travel agent, the second best thing is searching the internet for offers or packages on beach vacations. You can start with choosing a destination like the Caribbean, Hawaii or even Boracay. From here you can look at the hotels offering promos and compare prices and features. Choose a hotel that has air or land transport arrangements as well so that you won’t be bothered with haggling or rushing. . Before booking, check the weather forecast of the destination you like so you can be assured of a perfect time.

If you have time, you can do a little research on your destination. Since beach vacation can be costly, especially if you stayed in five-star hotels or resorts, knowing other places to eat or shop can be very practical. Another option is o get booked during the low-peak season in the destination of your choice.

Once you’ve booked your hotel and airplane, make a list of important things to bring. Beach vacations can be enjoyable but without protection like sun block, sunglasses, hats or umbrellas, you can suffer from mild to serious sunburn. Also make sure you bring medicines for unexpected cases of cold, cough, fever or stomachache. These medical emergencies will definitely ruin anyone’s memories of a fantastic beach vacation.

Tips to Moving with Your Pets

By admin, September 1, 2010 6:35 am

A pet like a child is a great responsibility and the animal or bird is dependant on you to care for it and protect it. And if a move is stressful for children the pressure is ten -fold for a pet that cannot quite comprehend what is happening. Often a house filled with strangers, boxes, and din is not just frightening for a pet it can be quite intimidating.

Before you move you must:

•    Take the pet to the vet and check whether his health will stand the move. Ask the vet about preventive health care and whether the pet will require any vaccinations.

•    Make a file containing the pet’s health records and registration details.

•    Pack all personal possessions belonging to the pet in an easily identifiable box.

•    Set aside things the pet will need while traveling and when you reach your destination.

•    Find out what the law regarding pets is in your new town or area. Ask about whether dogs or pets are allowed in your new home or apartment block and whether you need to apply for new registrations or permits.

•    Do a bit of research and locate a new vet in your new home. Choose one recommended by your old vet but make sure he suits your needs.

•    If you are moving fairly close then consider driving down with your pet and kids. Otherwise you will need to take care of details like flying with pets and the rules that apply.

•    While the movers are in the home packing or unpacking either keep the pet close to you or in a separate room in a crate with a few toys and plenty of water. Of course if you crate the pet you will need to remember to release him and take him for a walk ever so often.

•    If the move requires an overnight stop then choose a hotel that welcomes pets. This makes the move much easier on the pet as dealing with wary strangers can add to the stress.

•    Always carry an old sheet, a few toys, medicines, medical files, water for drinking, a little food, a sponge, plenty of plastic bags, paper towels, and a crate, cage, or leash. If it is fish you are transporting then you will need special containers sold by aquariums.

•    Get the pet a new Id tag and microchip in case he gets lost.

•    If you are nervous about transporting your pet there are professionals who will undertake to do the job for you.

•    In case you are moving to a new country and the climate is not suitable for your pet then consider finding the pet a new home. It is kinder than killing the pet.

While transporting pets remember that you cannot ship them in moving vans. And, except for “seeing eye” dogs pets are not allowed on buses and trains. So, you will either have to take your pet by plane or by car.  If your pet appears agitated ask the vet to prescribe a sedative. Check carefully about interstate health certificates and vaccination requirements. Be a vigilant pet-parent and find out all the pros and cons of moving a pet well before the actual moving date.

5 Tips To Help You Find An Affordable Kauai Vacation Rental

By admin, August 25, 2010 1:32 pm

Have you recently decided that you would like to take a trip to Kauai? If you have, you can rest assure knowing that you will have a great vacation. Kauai is a Hawaiian Island that is not only known for its beauty and its great vacation activities, but Kauai is also known for its beautiful vacation rentals.

If you are interested in booking a stay at a Kauai vacation rental, but if you are also concerned with price, you may take comfort in knowing that many Kauai vacation rentals are affordable. Yes, you will likely find a number of vacation rentals that are out of your price range, but the good news is that it is relatively easy to go about finding and booking a stay at an affordable vacation rental. To help you do so, five helpful tips are outlined below.

1 – Know What You Can Afford

Knowing what you can afford is a great way to find an affordable Kauai vacation rental. What you can afford or what you would like to spend on a vacation rental is important. This is because not everyone has the same views concerning affordability. What you may consider to be an affordable Kauai vacation home may be too expensive for other vacationers. That is why your first step should involve creating a budget for yourself.

When creating a budget for your next Kauai vacation, it is important to examine your other travel arrangements, including your airline reservations and car rental reservations. How much you would like to spend on entertainment should also be a factor, as it will have an impact on the overall cost of your next trip to Kauai.

2 – Use the Internet to Research Kauai Vacation Rentals

When it comes to making your Kauai travel arrangements, you have a number of different options. Many vacationers use the assistance of travel agents, others book their vacation rentals directly through the property owners, and others use the assistance of online travel websites. If you are looking for a quality, yet affordable Kauai vacation rental, you will want to examine online travel websites, namely those that deal specifically with Hawaii vacations and Hawaii vacation rentals.

3 – When Using Online Travel Websites, Search By Price

As previously stated, you can benefit from examining and booking Kauai vacation rentals through online travel websites. Not only are most easy to use, but they are convenient and time saving. When using an online travel website, you should be able to perform a vacation rental search based on a number of factors. Two factors that you will want to focus on include location, which would be Kauai, and your price range, which was touched on above.

When performing a customized search on an online travel website, your Kauai vacation rental results should only include rentals that are located on the great island of Kauai, as well as those that are within your budget. This approach can save you time, as you are able to automatically eliminate vacation rentals that you are unable to afford.

4 – Take All Extra Fees into Consideration

When examining Kauai vacation rentals online, you will find a wealth of information. Most reputable online travel websites will provide you with location, rental fees, features, and much more, including any additional fees. These additional fees are important, as they will have an impact on the overall cost of your Kauai vacation rental and its affordability. Most commonly, you will find a cleaning fee. This fee will likely vary depending on the size of the vacation rental in question.

In addition to additional fees, it is also important to examine security deposits. Most vacation rental property owners do charge security deposits. Although your security deposit will likely be returned to you in full, you should still include this security deposit in with the overall cost of your Kauai vacation.

5 – Be Sure to Examine All of Your Options

Examining all of your options, in terms of Kauai vacation rental types, is another great way to go about finding an affordable Kauai vacation rental for your next trip. What you need to remember is that vacation rentals come in a number of different formats, including Kauai vacation homes, vacation condos, vacation cottages, vacation apartment rentals, and vacation villas. Some of these rental properties are more expensive than others.

Monthly Rental Tips for Vacation Rental Homeowners

By admin, August 22, 2010 1:29 pm

Here are some monthly tips for vacation rental homeowners.

October’s Tip:

Looking for a perfect and inexpensive way to advertise your vacation rental? A Gift for Your Guests – A Great Way To Advertise! The Gift that Keeps on Giving. Add a picture of your vacation rental to the front cover of photo album. Record the location, year and your contact information on inside cover and leave it for your renters to fill with their memories. As they share their photos with their family and friends, your vacation rental will be exclusively advertised. Very professional with a personal touch! Add a Thank You note and place on your coffee table for your guests. Another way to stand out frm others.

September’s Tip:

For those of you that own property in a four season area, this tip is for you. To attract renters in the “off” season, give discounts or “package deals”. Include a dinner for two certificate to a nearby restaurant or passes to a local theater.

August’ Tip:

As the summer season winds down, get ready for the next season. As I suggested in July, continue to send out letters to your growing list of potential renters the upcoming season. Give out your vacation rental business cards to everyone you know. Leave them wherever you can i.e. restaurants, shopping mall message boards, etc.

July’s Tip:

Take the time to update your renter’s list. Include anyone who has expressed an interest in renting your property (including all inquirers you may have received from your property listing). If you live in a seasonal climate, take this time to prepare a letter to send to everyone on your list. As an incentive, you can offer them a discount for early reservations.

June’s Tip:

It’s Summer time! Are you ready for your renters arrival? Have flowers on the table for that extra touch. And, a favorite cool summer soft drink waiting for their arrival. Hook them up with your favorite marina. Or, leave information for an outdoor local event. Mark your calendar for special dates.

May’s Tip:

Check your blankets, pillows, towels and linens. Is it time to replace the sheets, bath towels and dish towels? If so, throw out the “tired” ones and replace them with soft and “fluffy” towels. As for sheets, better quality usually means longer use. Check the pillows for yellowing and stains. Yellowed or stained pillows could indicate bacteria and should be replaced. Be sure to clean the blankets often and leave extra blankets and pillows, linens and towels for your guests to use if needed.

April Showers brings May Flowers?

Get those early seedlings planted so you and your guests can enjoy the surroundings.

April’s Tip:

This is a great time to walk around your property to see if it needs any painting. Try new colors to give it a special uplift! You and your guests will enjoy the newness of freshly painted rooms. And, don’t forget the outside. Check for peeling paint and rotted wood. It is always good to take care of our property, not just for today’s enjoyment but for future value as well. Last month we talked about handing out business cards to everyone you come in contact with. How is that working? Write to me and let me know. I am interested in hearing from you.

March MADNESS – Month for Discounts

Try offering a discount for early bookings to attract new renter’s.

March’s Tip:

Create new business cards for your rental property. Hand them out to everyone you come in contact with. For friends and relatives, ask them if they would be kind enough to give them out to their friends and business contacts. And, to go with the “March MADNESS” – month for discounts, give out referral fees for this month only.

February – Bring on the Romance!

Mention “Romantic Vacation” in your advertisement for the month of February to attract renter’s to your site.

February’s Tip:

When screening your renters, find out if they will be celebrating a special occasion during their stay at your vacation home. If so, write it down on your calendar as a reminder for when they arrive. Upon arrival, have a bottle of champagne waiting for anniversaries, a candy or fruit basket for a birthday or free tickets to a local fair for any celebration. These are just suggestions, but my point is, be thoughtful and kind to your renters and they will become repeaters year after year. If you have repeat renters each year, you will save your time and money trying to get a different party to rent your vacation home. My advice is to keep your renters happy! Good luck!

January 2007- New Year – New Start

This is a great time to create a new property listing. If you have one already, try to give it a face-lift. Read Chapter six of my book to get creative suggestions and detailed instructions to having the best property listing.

January’s Tip:

Before your guests arrive, check your notes to see if they are bringing along any children. Find out their ages and look for pamphlets in your area for that age group. Leave the appropriate ones out on your counter with a friendly note saying: “Here are some fun things to do in the area. Enjoy Your Stay!” and sign your name as owner. Your guests will not only appreciate having the pamphlets but will also remember how you took a personal interest in them to do such a nice thing. And, they will go home and talk about you and your vacation rental to their family and friends. This is a great way to get repeat guests and referrals.

Bonus Tip:

Take time to go through your rental properties to make sure everything is working correctly. Check batteries: smoke detectors, clock. radio, flashlights, hand held remotes (tv, dvd player, play station etc.) Check kitchen appliances to make sure they are all in good working order. Please feel free to stop in next month at http://www.howtorentvacationhomes.com

Safety Tips for Female Travelers

By admin, August 22, 2010 6:36 am

Women are vulnerable! Sounds true but it definitely rings a bell in women’s mind that why do they need to be thought as vulnerable to any mishap? Be it traveling or business trips, there has been a steep rise in women traveling abroad all alone. And because of their vulnerability, they are likely to encounter more problems. So, here are some winning tips on how you can counteract your susceptibility to any mishap or avoid any problem and yet enjoy your trip to its fullest no matter at what corner of globe you are.

Mug up the Place

Sounds strange? Well, before you head off, you must have a fair idea about the country and place you are going to visit. Knowing about the culture of the country will facilitate enjoying your trip while being a part of the same culture. You can easily get this information from a tourist guide for any country.

Passports and Visas

Before planning your trip, you must be sure of your passport validity. If it’s not valid, then don’t delay and apply for a new one. For the countries you plan to visit, keep all your required travel documents or visas updated and ready.

Say No to Valuables

Carrying extra jewelry and credit cards will simply invite anti-social elements like thieves. So, it’s better to leave all valuables at home. Don’t even put on costume jewelry that only looks expensive. That will pose an unnecessary risk to your security as thieves would hardly have any idea about real and artificial until after they steal it.

Don’t Forget This

You are going away from your native place and will be alone. So, don’t forget to leave these important details with your relatives or friends so that they can track and help you in any urgency.

Your detailed itinerary and schedules including names of places, addresses, telephone numbers, copies of your passport identification page, your flight and ticket details

Health Insurance and Prescription Drugs

Check to see whether you hold adequate health insurance coverage for your visit abroad. If not, you must purchase supplemental traveler’s insurance to keep your trip safe and sound. If you are on any prescription drugs, make sure that your stock can cover your entire trip including some extra medications in case your stay is delayed. Keep your prescriptions only in labeled containers to avoid any misunderstanding of drug trafficking.

Be Confident

Be confident when you land in a foreign territory. Look, act and move as if you well versed in the ways. Be confident in doing everything from shopping to asking directions. This will help you stay away from any potential risk.

Hotel Safety

Be smart and alert while choosing your stays and hotels. Inquire about the hotel safety and check for an easy and reliable transportation. It would be great if you choose a hotel near by most of the places you plan to visit. Once you enter your room, check whether all doors and windows have working locks. Don’t open the door without peeking out of the keyhole.

Clothing – Wear Decent

And finally the most important tip or precaution you MUST take. Dressing up conservatively and inconspicuously will help you to a great extent in a foreign territory. Just wear what looks attractive yet goes with the local culture. Local women can be of great help to you in this concern. Don’t wear any clothes that could spark harassment.

Remember, your trip’s success and pleasure is all in your hand. With a sound knowledge, good and professional guidance and precautions, you can enjoy a hassle free, charming and memorable trip all alone.

Vacation Safety Tips

By admin, August 19, 2010 1:29 pm

Some of us are so eager to get away that when vacation time comes around, we throw caution to the wind, failing to take the usual precautions that keep us safe in day-to-day life. Unfortunately, there are con artists out there who know this and are ready to take advantage. What’s more, even innocent accidents can blight a vacation. Small problems can prove much more troublesome than they are at home. It’s best to be aware and well prepared, so you can be sure of a trip that is safe and fun all the way through.

When you’re driving away from home, be aware that the rules of the road may be different from those you are used to. This can apply even if you’re still in the same country, as there are different kinds of terrain to account for and drivers in different regions develop different habits. The most dramatic example of it will arise if you visit a country where people drive on the opposite side of the road. In this situation, take your time to adjust to the new ways you should be moving and the new areas you should be paying attention to. Even if you usually drive a manual transmission, it may be a good idea to have a rental care that is an automatic to reduce the number of new things you have to worry about while driving on unfamiliar roads.

If you’re visiting a foreign country it’s always a good idea to have a dictionary or phrasebook with you, even if you’re confident that you can handle the basics of the language. This is among the more important vacation safety tips because people sometimes forget the vocabulary they need in emergency situations. Make sure you are informed about how the local health care system works and that you know where to seek help in an emergency. Be aware of what your insurance will cover. Make sure that any medicine you purchase comes from a qualified doctor or pharmacist.

The most important vacation safety tips for hotels involve forward planning. Ideally, you should work out where you’re going to stay well in advance and secure your bookings. The Internet makes it easy to research most places and read customer reviews. If for any reason you are unable to stay in the place you’d planned on, or if you feel the need to be more spontaneous, ask around for local recommendations. Trust your instincts and don’t stay anywhere you feel uncomfortable. Don’t leave money, expensive items, or important documents, such as your passport, in your hotel room. Make sure your hotel room door is locked at all times and keep your room number a secret.

If you keep these basic vacation safety tips in mind, you’re less likely to run into trouble, which means you’ll be more free to relax and enjoy yourself.

Few Tips For Women Traveling Alone

By admin, August 18, 2010 6:36 am

If you are a woman traveling alone, you need to check the rules in the country you will be visiting.

Each country and culture has their own views of what is appropriate behavior for women. Although you may not agree with these views, it is wise to abide by the local laws and customs to avoid problems. Please become familiar with the laws and customs of the places where you wish to go.

Here are two examples of situations you may encounter:

It is illegal in Laos to invite Lao nationals of the opposite sex to one’s hotel room.

Foreigners in Saudi Arabia have been arrested in the past for “improper dress.”

Women traveling alone can be more vulnerable to problems in certain cultures. Keeping in mind the following information can help make your trip as safe and rewarding as possible.

Preparing for your trip

Passports & Visas: Make sure your passport is still valid or apply for a new one long before you plan to travel. Make sure you have the right travel documents and visas for your destinations. For information on individual countries’ entry and exit requirements, refer to our publication Foreign Entry Requirements.

Your Destinations: Make an effort to learn about the locations you plan to visit, their culture, and any problems that might be occurring there.

Many exciting and exotic destinations may have very conservative views about women.

Being a foreigner makes you stand out; a woman traveling alone can be even more of an oddity in some places.

What to Leave Behind: Leave a detailed itinerary and a copy of your passport’s identification page with a friend or relative at home. Include names, addresses and telephone numbers where you will be staying. Leave a copy of your flight and ticket information with them as well.

You may wish to establish certain check in dates when you will either call, e-mail, fax, etc. to let someone know that you are all right. But remember that if you happen to miss a check-in, your loved ones may assume that you are having a problem or are in trouble.

Leave any valuables, extra credit cards and jewelry – even fake jewelry – at home.

Thieves often won’t know the real from the fake until after they take it, so why risk your personal safety?

Health: Make sure you have adequate health insurance coverage while abroad and that your coverage includes medical evacuations. Your policy might not cover you overseas and you may need to purchase traveler’s insurance.

If you have any condition that might develop complications- especially if you are pregnant, check with your doctor before you go abroad. If you experience complications, a medical evacuation might still take several precious hours to arrange.

If you take prescription medication, make sure you have enough to last the duration of the trip, including extra medication in case you are delayed. Always carry your prescriptions in their labeled containers as many countries have strict anti-trafficking laws and might be suspicious of pills in unlabeled bottles. Bring your prescription information and the names of their generic equivalents with you just in case.

Off you go

Safety and Security: Use common sense and be alert and aware of your surroundings. If you are unsure in general about the local situation, feel free to check with the American Citizens Services section of the local U.S. Embassy or Consulate for the latest security information.

Don’t announce that you are traveling alone! Some guides for women even advise wearing a wedding ring if you’re single. If you feel like you’re being followed, step into a store or other safe place and wait to see if the person you think is following has passed.

Do not be afraid or embarrassed to ask for someone to double check for you to see if all is safe. Display confidence. By looking and acting as if you know where you’re going, you may be able to ward off some potential danger.

Ask for directions before you set out. No matter how modest your lodgings are, your hotel concierge or other hotel staff should be able to help. If you find yourself lost, do not be afraid to ask for directions. Generally, the safest people to ask are families or women with children. Getting the right information may save you from ending up in a potentially unsafe area.

Hotels: Choose a hotel where security is good and transportation is readily available and nearby. Check that all the doors and windows in your room have locks and that they work. If you feel uncomfortable, ask hotel security to escort you to and from parking lots or your room at night. Always use your peephole and common sense about letting strangers into your room.

Clothing: There is no doubt that fashion makes a statement. Unfortunately, not everyone will interpret how you dress the same way you would. What you consider casual clothing might be seen as provocative or inappropriate in other cultures. Thieves might choose you over another potential target based on your style of dress or the amount of makeup or jewelry you are wearing. Other might single you out for harassment or even physical violence because they find your clothing offensive, based on their cultural norms. By taking your cues from local women, or at least by dressing conservatively, you could save yourself a great deal of trouble.

Use common sense, do your homework before you go, and have a safe and fun trip.

Cheap Los Angeles Hotels – Tips on Finding Reasonably-Priced Accommodation in Los Angeles

By admin, August 16, 2010 6:36 am

Los Angeles is a city which has lots to offer its visitors, with a mind-boggling, contrasting array of attractions and experiences such as glamorous Hollywood and the upscale Beverly Hills neighbourhood, as well as several world-famous white, sandy beaches and the mystical allure of Disneyland.

Travelers seeking solace in nature away from the hustle and bustle of the city can venture into the fascinating nature landscapes comprising majestic mountain ranges, plunging valleys and verdant forests surrounding the city. What is most revered about the city, however, is its legendary status as the centre of a flourishing arts and culture scene, where visitors are treated to incredible musical and artistic displays in the city’s numerous concert halls and museums.

Staying in cheap Los Angeles hotels is ideal to prepare yourself for the multi-sensory feast waiting for you in the city. A great range of cheaper accommodation options in the city and its suburbs strive to deliver an unforgettable stay without breaking your bank. I shall now shed some light into what cheap Los Angeles hotels are all about and where they can be found.

Offerings at budget accommodation in Los Angeles

Budget Los Angeles accommodation, such as budget hotels and motels, generally possess a good range of amenities and services that will satisfy most guests’ needs for a restful stay. Even though the amenities offered by specific hotels may differ, you can generally enjoy air-conditioned guestrooms equipped with televisions, refrigerators, microwave ovens and even maid and shuttle services which add value to your stay.

The warm temperatures in Los Angeles around the year have prompted many hotels to include swimming pools and Jacuzzis on their property, allowing you to cool off or soak in the sun. In addition, staying connected for work or leisure has never been easier with many hotels offering Internet services and packages. However, if you are a daily Internet user, you might want to choose a hotel that does not charge daily usage fees as these can add up to a hefty cost by the end of your stay.

Considering a location

Although most travelers on a budget would place a priority on choosing a cheaper hotel, the location of your hotel is equally important in determining how much you can save. With Los Angeles spanning a large area, being located close to the destinations which you will be frequenting will help you save on unnecessary transport costs.

You may notice that many of the popular tourist attractions and business venues are scattered throughout the different districts; thus you may want to use a map to help you plan a suitable hotel location. For example, vacationers who are visiting attractions all over the city can stay in a central area such as Hollywood or West Hollywood.

Hotels in Hollywood

While Hollywood has long been associated with big name movie celebrities, you can easily find many reasonably-priced budget accommodations here. The area usually teems with tourists, as it boasts popular attractions and has easy access to other parts of Los Angeles, including Universal Studios, which can be reached within a 20 minute drive.

Hotels near Disneyland

Disneyland is actually not located in Los Angeles itself, and is half an hour away from the downtown, but its location in Anaheim in Greater Los Angeles still sees many visitors, especially families, flock to the theme parks. The good news is that there is an incredible range of cheaper accommodations which offer great deals in the vicinity. Moreover, they are located just a few minutes’ walk away from the theme parks.
